Slate that matches the house and lasts.
Victorian and Edwardian London was roofed in slate, and those roofs are now well over a century old. The slates themselves outlast almost everything around them; the nails and battens holding them do not. That is why you see slates sliding out of line on terraces from Earls Court to Clapham.
We replace slipped and broken slates one by one where the slope is sound, and re-slate the full roof when the fixings have failed across it. On period homes we match the size, colour and texture of the existing slate, so a repair or a new slope sits right with the rest of the street.
Slate work starts with a free survey and a clear written quote. When the job is done, the site is left clean and tidy and the work is covered by our 15 to 20 year guarantee.

Before you book
Straight answers about your roof
Can you match the slate on my Victorian house?
Yes. We match the size, colour and texture of the existing slate so the repair sits with the original roof.
Do I need a full re-slate?
Not if the fixings are sound. We replace slipped and broken slates where we can, and quote a re-slate only when the fixings have failed across the slope.
Do you work on period and heritage roofs?
Yes. Period slate is a big part of our work across Kensington, Chelsea, Mayfair and Westminster.
Is slate work guaranteed?
Yes. Our work carries a 15 to 20 year guarantee, set out in your written quote.
