Ridge and hip tiles sit on a bed of mortar at the most exposed line of the roof. When that mortar cracks and washes out, the tiles loosen, and the first strong wind sends them into the garden. Gable verges fail the same way, with mortar falling away along the edge.
We re-bed loose ridge and hip tiles, replace broken ones, and fit dry ridge and dry verge systems that are mechanically fixed instead of relying on mortar. One of our customers had a roof repair and a new dry verge system fitted and wrote that the results are excellent.

A dry verge is a fixed plastic or tile-matched cap along the gable edge that holds the end tiles without relying on mortar.
Can you re-bed my ridge tiles?
Yes. We lift, clean and re-bed loose ridge and hip tiles, or fit a dry ridge system.
My ridge tile blew off. Is it urgent?
