These photos come from one of our slate re-roofs, taken by the team on the roof as the work went on.
The old covering came off and a blue breathable membrane went down over the rafters, with new battens set out for the slates. The slates were laid course by course up the slope and around the chimney, and the roof was finished with a dry ridge system, which is fixed mechanically rather than bedded in mortar.
